SOULCORE LEADER – RAMONA

Ramona has been a SoulCore student of Daniella Palmiotto for 2 years and attended Daniella’s SoulCore Leader training retreat. When Daniella announced she accepted a teaching position at Ave Maria University in Naples, FL she then asked if anyone would be willing to become a leader and continue the class. Ramona said upon hearing this invitation her spirit leaped inside of her and after prayerful thought she gave Daniella and the Blessed Mother her fiat and yes. Ramona found peace in knowing that God does not call the qualified He qualifies the called. This was inspiration to her that God called her to it and would take her through becoming a SoulCore leader. Staying spiritually strong is a natural for her with daily prayer and attending Mass as often as possible. Staying physically strong has always been a struggle for Ramona but not anymore. SoulCore was the solution the perfect combination of spiritual and physical exercise.

Ramona converted to Catholicism 30 years ago just prior to marrying her husband Chuck. They attribute the strength of their marriage to daily prayer and weekly Mass. They give glory to God for blessing them with two beautiful young adult college aged son and daughter. A long hair chihuahua (pictured) and daschund are a channel of God’s love in their home…just spell dog backwards!

At the beginning of the covid pandemic, and after 30 years working in the insurance industry, Ramona was laid off from her job. She prayed asking God what He wanted her to do next for career/vocation. She was reminded of her love for the elderly and became a senior compassion caregiver when one of her sisters in Christ asked her if she would help with her mother.  Shortly after another sister in Christ asked for her help with an elderly gentleman. There is a great need for senior compassion caregivers. Mothers are naturals at this!

Ramona is also a school of Christian Formation graduate teaching Religious Education on Sunday morning. The first grade children are a source of Holy Joy for her. She is a graduate of University of Central Florida. She and her husband have been involved with Scouting for many years. Religious Awards for Scouting has a special place in Ramona’s heart.
