SOULCORE LEADER – JOAN

Joan and her husband, Jerry, have been married for over 30 years and have three adult children:  Jerry, Andy and Melissa; and three grandchildren:  Macklin, Murphy and Maura.  They are members of Little Flower parish.  Joan and her husband grew up in Lafayette, attended St. Lawrence grade school and Central Catholic High Schools respectively.

Joan works at health-care law firm downtown as a legal administrative assistant.  Joan learned about SoulCore from her sister-in-law, Lori, who is a teacher at St. Lawrence grade school in Lafayette.  After Joan read Colleen’s testimony, she felt called to attend a class since some of Colleen’s journey was similar to her own.  After attending a special SoulCore event presented at Scecina Memorial High School (where her children attended during their high school years), Joan inquired about becoming a SoulCore leader.  SoulCore has strengthened her Marian devotion, and deepened her faith.  Joan has been an active runner and prays the rosary during her runs, so the prayer and exercise element of SoulCore fits her lifestyle.  Joan is looking forward to bringing the SoulCore movement to the East Side of Indianapolis.
