Kasirat also known as “Bo” recently moved to the Washington DC area from Davie, Florida. Bo grew up in Germantown, MD and joined the United States Department of State (foreign service) at age 24. She has lived in Paris, Brussels, Mbabane, Baghdad and Fort Lauderdale, and has toured North, South America and the Caribbean extensively in her last assignment. Bo is married and has an 11-year old daughter. With the stress of moving her family around the world, Bo has come to rely on many Christian ministries including bible study groups, paper crafting, and the church choir, for support and adjustment.
When Bo took her first SoulCore class in Florida, she fell in love with it. She knew immediately how prayer and exercise is the perfect fit for her since she always enjoyed dance and fitness!!
Bo says what makes SoulCore special for her is the sensory experiences from music, lighting, and movement to the prayer. It connects body, mind and spirit all at once. After watching a YouTube video of someone reciting the rosary with audience responses, it just didn’t connect with her. It sounded very monotonous and not as mindful. Bo knows for some that might work, especially while multitasking or driving, but to truly focus and go deep in prayer, she has found SoulCore to be the best solution.
Bo hopes to grow this apostolate in the MD, DC and VA area, by motivating more leaders to join and getting people of all ages involved and enjoying this beautiful journey to a more prayerful and spiritual life, while strengthening their physical bodies.
A Few of Bo’s Favorite Scripture Verses:
