Mary has long enjoyed the benefits of physical fitness when at a young age she began her studies in dance. After years of study and performance in both her native Pittsburgh, PA and in NYC, she earned her BA in Dance from San Jose State University, CA. While in California, Mary also began her long career in the healing arts earning her certification in massage therapy from the American Massage Therapy Institute. Soon after her marriage to her husband, Philip, they returned to the Pittsburgh area where she established her practice in both body work and therapeutic movement techniques. She eventually opened Natural Touch Wellness Studio in McMurray, PA where she currently specializes in Bowenwork Therapy.
Mary’s great love for the Virgin Mary and praying the Rosary was a gradual process that developed over many years alongside her husband. As their faith became more of a priority Mary and Philip became more active members of St. Patrick Parish in Canonsburg. Their faith began to deepen most especially during the years Philip attended Franciscan University of Steubenville where he earned a Masters in Theology and Christian Ministry as well as through his diaconal studies at St. Paul Seminary before being ordained in 2013 in the Diocese of Pittsburgh. So it was hand in hand that their faith awakened and they rediscovered their love of Mary and the beauty of the praying the Rosary.
Although satisfied with her work, Mary felt a restlessness deep within and sensed a calling to seek a more Christian based movement practice where she could share her passion with healing movement along with her new found love of Jesus and Mary. By God’s grace she was introduced to SoulCore by a friend and knew in her heart that this was where the Lord was leading her. Without hesitation she enrolled in the Leadership Program and is very eager to share this beautiful practice with her friends and family to deepen their love of Mary and to strengthen their faith in Christ through the virtues of the rosary.
