Karen Hostoffer has been a SoulCore leader in Cleveland, OH since August of 2014. She has been married to her husband, Bob for 35 years. They have 5 children ages 33 to 22. Her son Vince is married to Sara-Anne and they have blessed us with our first granddaughter. Other than being a wife, mom, grandma and SoulCore leader, Karen is also an active board member of Maggie’s Place, Inc. and a frequent volunteer at the Zechariah House.
Karen was a participant in SoulCore’s very first leader training retreat at the Marian Studio in Indiana. It was Lent and she had just read two meditations that morning: The first was about the power of praying with others and the second looked at the struggles that can arise during prayer to maintain your focus and that by moving around or changing your body position can help. So, when her friend called and started explaining SoulCore – how it combines praying with a group and exercise – well that was number three! She had to say yes immediately.
Leading SoulCore has led Karen to a deeper relationship with Mary; with the Holy Spirit and of course, our dear Lord, Jesus. Karen says one of the biggest gifts she has received is the deepening of her own faith, often through the immeasurable faith of the women she gets to pray with.
Karen and Stacy co-facilitate SoulCore Discovery Retreats, which has proven to be a beautiful pairing. They come to the retreats wearing their own hearts on their sleeves and they hope that each participant feels their love, and knows in their heart that if she and Stacey can do this, they can too.
In addition to facilitating SoulCore Discovery Retreats, Karen offers live SoulCore classes at multiple locations in the Cleveland, OH area, and is also available for special events/private groups. You can reach Karen at klhostoffer@gmail.com
