Meet SoulCore Leader – Rani

I am a lifelong member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, where I am director of Full of Grace Cafe, an outreach and social justice ministry. My husband, Richard, and I have been married for 23 years. We have two children, Reed & Reese.

Soulcore appealed to me initially because of the incorporation of prayer and physical movement. I have always been physically active and aware of my health. This has included lifelong training, sprint triathlons and half marathons. Two years ago I felt called to step away from my nursing career for a full time ministry position. My physical health and wellness had been on the back burner since then, but my prayer life had deepened. I began to stream soulcore classes and really felt that this could be a fruitful way for me to get healthy while praying and also invite others into a deeper relationship with Jesus and devotion to the Blessed Mother.

Mary’s words “Be it done unto me according to your word” (Luke 1:38) have been part of my daily prayer for a while now. God has been calling me to fully surrender more areas to Him. Another favorite scripture of mine is Romans 8:28-We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, who are called according to his purpose. When things aren’t going the way I’d prefer or I am overwhelmed, these words bring me peace, knowing that He is in control and has only good in store for us.
2 Corinthians 12:9- but he said, “My grace is sufficient for you, for power is made perfect in weakness.” So I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may dwell in me. This serves as a beautiful reminder that what we perceive as weakness is really where God can and does work best.
