Meet SoulCore Leader – Michele

I have been married to my husband, Jason, for over 25 years, and together we are blessed with four children. I hold a bachelor’s degree in education with a minor in dance. After several years as a classroom teacher, I retired from teaching to focus on raising my family while continuing my lifelong passion for dance.

For over 30 years, I have taught all styles of dance to students ranging from age two through adulthood. In addition, I teach adult fitness classes as a certified Dance Jamz instructor and lead dance movement classes for senior citizens as a wellness instructor with Creative Aging Cincinnati.

I have always had a deep devotion to the rosary and feel truly blessed to unite my love of faith and movement. Through leading SoulCore rosary, I am grateful for the opportunity to share both faith and fitness with others in a meaningful and prayerful way.

Meet SoulCore Leader – Shannon

My name is Shannon, and I have been married to my husband Ryan for over 25 years. We have four children ranging in age from elementary school to college graduate! I have been an active parishioner at St. Mary (Hyde Park) on the East side of Cincinnati since 2007, including leading the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd program as a Level I Catechist.

My background as a Registered Dietitian/Nutritionist (RD) with a Master’s Degree in nutrition, has helped me teach others how to nourish their bodies with food.  As a former Division 1 college swimmer and a lifelong fitness enthusiast, I also love to move! SoulCore has been an answered prayer in my search for a way to combine prayer and exercise. I hope to help others cultivate wellness in body, mind and soul through the prayer of the rosary by way of this beautiful apostolate!

Meet SoulCore Leader – Julie

I’m a wife of 34 years and mother of four beautiful adult children and have lived in Cincinnati, OH my entire life. My faith and prayer life have always been an integral part of who I am. Several years back I re-introduced myself to the rosary. I prayed it occasionally, but never consistently. What I realized when I prayed the rosary is that it brought me peace, direction and graces. I could never explain it, but knew how I felt in my heart and soul and the powerful impact it made on me.  Over the years, I found myself praying it more and more especially when faced with life’s challenges. It was an essential “prayer tool” for me.A few years ago, I discovered SoulCore and was very excited because it combined a couple of my top passions in life; faith and fitness and it also included reflecting on the virtues of the mysteries which made it more actionable for me in my daily life. It gave me a new view of the rosary. Although it was not the right time for me to discern as a leader, the Lord planted the seed.

In 2020, our family faced some difficulties while simultaneously the Lord was tugging on me to do something more to touch others with my gifts, especially as we approached the next stage of life in becoming empty nesters. I finally said, YES, and am thrilled to begin my journey as a SoulCore Apostolate.SoulCore, in addition to many other methods of prayer in my life, moves me and keeps me centered. I feel the presence of Mary consoling, teaching and watching over me as like my own mother whose love is everlasting.SoulCore enhances my prayer journey through MIND * BODY * SOUL so beautifully and having the opportunity to lead others through the life of Jesus, through the intercession of Mary, and the fruits tied to the mysteries is a perfect way to spread the gift of the Ministry to others, increasing my faith life and a constant reminder to put the virtues into action in my daily life. It’s truly a “mini retreat” and blessing in my day and am eager to share it with others.
