Meet SoulCore Leader – Ramona

Ramona has been a SoulCore student of Daniella Palmiotto for 2 years and attended Daniella’s SoulCore Leader training retreat. When Daniella announced she accepted a teaching position at Ave Maria University in Naples, FL she then asked if anyone would be willing to become a leader and continue the class. Ramona said upon hearing this invitation her spirit leaped inside of her and after prayerful thought she gave Daniella and the Blessed Mother her fiat and yes. Ramona found peace in knowing that God does not call the qualified He qualifies the called. This was inspiration to her that God called her to it and would take her through becoming a SoulCore leader. Staying spiritually strong is a natural for her with daily prayer and attending Mass as often as possible. Staying physically strong has always been a struggle for Ramona but not anymore. SoulCore was the solution the perfect combination of spiritual and physical exercise.

Ramona converted to Catholicism 30 years ago just prior to marrying her husband Chuck. They attribute the strength of their marriage to daily prayer and weekly Mass. They give glory to God for blessing them with two beautiful young adult college aged son and daughter. A long hair chihuahua (pictured) and daschund are a channel of God’s love in their home…just spell dog backwards!

At the beginning of the covid pandemic, and after 30 years working in the insurance industry, Ramona was laid off from her job. She prayed asking God what He wanted her to do next for career/vocation. She was reminded of her love for the elderly and became a senior compassion caregiver when one of her sisters in Christ asked her if she would help with her mother.  Shortly after another sister in Christ asked for her help with an elderly gentleman. There is a great need for senior compassion caregivers. Mothers are naturals at this!

Ramona is also a school of Christian Formation graduate teaching Religious Education on Sunday morning. The first grade children are a source of Holy Joy for her. She is a graduate of University of Central Florida. She and her husband have been involved with Scouting for many years. Religious Awards for Scouting has a special place in Ramona’s heart.

Meet SoulCore Leader – Patti

I learned about SoulCore during the pandemic through another SoulCore Leader, Daniella, whom I have had the pleasure of knowing since around 2015. She shared videos on FaceBook leading decades as she traveled in Italy, and it opened my eyes to the deeper connection to prayer that is available through movement. When the opportunity to attend a SoulCore Leader Retreat presented itself in January 2022, I gave my “yes” and now SoulCore is a huge part of my prayer life and passion.

As a Catholic that knew so very little (almost nothing!) about my faith until marriage, I have relied on the Holy Rosary to draw me closer to Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary and to develop my relationship with God, and now I cannot get enough. As I continue to learn more about and grow in this beautiful faith, the Rosary remains the center of my prayers and I look forward to sharing it with more people.

I am a member of St. Mark’s Catholic Church in Boynton Beach, FL, where I live with my husband, and I am always happy to meet others who have the same passion for prayer and movement, or to introduce it to those that don’t know they have the passion yet.
